Washington Island, WI. Sunset from Flath's cottages. I went back for the first time in years. It was interesting to jump back into things with my parents and family friends. You see things that change slightly, and you are surprised. This place, the Island, it's effect on your mind by just sleeping there for more than one night is changing. I think that you breath better there, because you are so close to fresh water. Your mind is clear the whole time. I really got into fishing for the first 48 hours of being there, didn't catch much, but that's not the point. Friends came to visit, and it was good time had by all.
However some people complain that it was boring. The hardest part people have with going to the island is that they think they need something to do there. The point of going there is to have nothing to do. To sit. To be idle. I tried it, its damn fun. Posted by Picasa

We painted our porch this weekend. The ceiling is that blue, so while you are sitting on the porch watching the sunset, you are looking at the same color blue that is in the sky. It's my favorite room in the house. Posted by Picasa
