I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the term -- meaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etching -- there would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster.

You should send some of these prints to Hayden's Ferry Review to see if they'd like to publish them in an issue (http://www.asu.edu/clas/pipercwcenter/publications/haydensferryreview/hfr/page6.html) I'm thinking specifically of the car in the ditch, the Milwaukee River, fireworks, rusty can, the spoon, the bra, the squirrel...call/e me if you have questions.
